What Am I Doing Wrong?

click on Networking -> Masquerading and add a masquerading rule for your internal network definition (192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0) pointing to your externalNIC. Also make sure your clients are set to 192.168.1.1 for their gateway.

    I have Astaro installed.
    The router from our ISP is here. The router plugs into a hub. The hub plugs into ASTARO machine which plugs into my test network.
    The main hub is then connected to switches so that the rest of the office can use our REAL IPs until I figure this out.

    - I set up and installed everything.
    - I  can use Web Admin from the 192.168.1.X address and access the settings.
    - From the rest of the network I can type in Astaros REAL IP address and access the settings.
    - I am able to run Up2Date
    - I have packet filters set up to let anything to or from the outside to the inside.

    But I can't, for the life of me, surf, ping or do anything from inside the firewall to anything outside the firewall.
    Astaro can ping things using the Web Admin, but my machines can't.

    On my client machines - which are Macintosh, I set any old IP I want, right? 192.168.1.50 for example... The router is 192.168.1.1 right?
    Can the domain name be external? It doesn't seem to matter if I type in an IP or a domain name, nothing works.

    I'm sure I'm have something VERY simple that I have not done right... Can anyone offer any suggestions or assistance? 

    I at the point where I'm willing to let someone come in with WebAdmin and have a look at it.
