2 * 1000BaseFX Trunk with Astaro?

Hi!

I have two questions ...
The first one is, if Astaro can be used as a Firewall in an 2* 1000BaseFX trunked connection!?

I'm planing use Astaro to protect our gameservers at a LAN Party in Germany. (If you're iteressted, visit the CapD-Lan HP.)
This party is non public. Everybody has to log-on and pay before he can come.
Is this OK with the non-commercial licence of ASL?

    Hi there,

    I'm not sure about your first question...... If all you need is kernel modules for the network cards - I'm sure it's possible to get them compiled. If this is the issue, mail me on orjan@sandland.ws with specs on the cards - then I can compile the modules.
    Just come to think of it... did you try yet? ASL may have drivers already...

    If the LAN party is non-profit, I would personally have no hesitation using ASL. If you intend on making money - I'd contact astaro sales. Perhaps you can get a nice price (tm) for the event only :-).
