Load Balancing

I have gotten a redundant firewall config with BGP multihoming to work using Astaro, but the configuration is more complex that you probably care for.

Redundancy can be accomplished with pretty much any FLB device out there, I happend to use 2 Foundry Server Iron XL's and 2 Foundry BigIron 4000's as the routers.  I thinks its important to note that there is no sense in setting up firewall redundancy, if you aren't redundant at other network levels too.

This was a "Hot Standby" set up, and not a load balanced situation, although it protects a full Ds-3 no problem.

I haven't tried load balancing, althought I'm sure its possible, however, this is really more of a routing issue than a Firewall thing.  A load balanced firewall farm could introduce new complexities, especially with things like VPN connections.
