high cpu

I have the same problem. I have 2 ASL boxes. They run very well but suddenly the CPU load i very high and they are swapping like h...

Traffic through the boxes is ok - but the web interface is a pain - because it is performing awfully.

Any comments from Astaro would be nice.

    I too am having a high cpu usage report under the reports section of the webadmin.  I started to experience after I changed my

       Host name redwall.tzo.com to redwall.tcukahoe.org.

    Actually,
    I tried to use redwall-gxmod.org(FQDN) but it will not take it because of the "-" in the redwall-gxmod.
    My qmail is going nuts because of this. My cpu went from 23% adverage to 80%-99% usage. What can I do about this? My FQDN is redwall-gxmod.org.

    I had the same problem. My mail was being forwarded to the wrong server. So the mail bounced again and again. This caused the asl box to suffer. High CPU usage and the smtp partition filled up until the asl went down and just beeped.

    The 2 boxes I'm running are running different versions (to see if the problem was due to an update).

    i rebooted my server last night, and it droped down to 1% i will update you on its proccesor increase

    sorry there was a mistake: not -k4, -k3 is correct:
    ps axuf| sort -nr -k3 | head -4
