Help with SNMP !!!

What is the community string in 2.100? I am not having any luck reading/connecting to it from the outside?  Also, what version? (1,2..) Anyone has any suggestions?

Also, Does anyone have any good comprehensive Windows/Linux SNMP monitoring tools.  Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
