Absolute Minimum Hardware Requirements

Hi!

I've read, that the minimum requirements differ, from what the faq says, and so I would like to know, if my old system will make it:
Pentium 90
16MB
2Gb Harddisk

    I do not know about 2.0, but 1.8 would run with 2.0 GBytes... It worked OK... 

    The killer is 16 MBytes and Pentium 90. Given the cost of both I would suggest an upgrade. If not, ASL is not for you. It runs each application in a CHROOT environment which does not help memory use. It may work if you turn off ALL the proxies but that makes the product a bit useless. 

    Basically 64 MByte ram and 233 MHz are the bare bare minimum...

    I missed this on the first pass... the CPU could possibly handle the workload, but as Darryl points out, the RAM is way way low.

    I have a 200MMX with 192M RAM and a 6G disk running fairly well on my home SDSL connection.
    Cpu use is about 15% average, and it never uses more than 60-70M memory.

    I would not be comfortable running ASL with less than a 133MHz pentium and 64M ram. 

    With your hardware, I'd ditch the harddrive and install floppyfw (http://www.zelow.no/floppyfw/) instead.
