unable to use web interface

Got a small 2U system that meets all the requirements...   2 nics, Intel and 3com..  i install ASL on the system form the CD it sets up fine.   I reboot it and it wants me to login (which I dont).  I type in the IP and i cant get any access.

I have a firewall, server setup on the same network.  But its all Windows based.  Yes I can ping ASL.  And yes I tried also putting the box on another ip address and still nothing.  Any Ideas?
It says I should be able to use teh web interface right after install but nothing.  Do I have to login and enable something after startup?

let me know I really want to get a non-windows based firewall =)
