CPU, SWAP Utilization Problems

I have a Astaro Installed on a PIII 733, 256 megs.  The system ran great for 3 weeks, then the CPU usage went up to an average of 92% and SWAP Utilization was around 1700 megs. I have reinstalled multiple times with different CPU's, RAM, HD's and boxes.  I also have another Astaro box same config, different IP's and License number this box runs with the CPU usage at 2-3% and SWAP util at 0.  Anyone have any ideas on what is going on?

    I also have noticed the same problem.  the process nacctd is using 100% of the CPU on a p-3 800 with 256meg of ram.  This causes havoc, resulting in dropped packets, the inablility to log into the machine etc.

    Is anyone at astaro going to reply?

    Hmmm we saw that behaviour too on a few occasions, but we were never able to reproduce it so we could track it down.

    I'll give it another shot.

    For a quick fix, disable the superdaemon nacct checks by

    touch /etc/no-superdaemon/nacctd

    and blow the nacctd away with

    killall nacctd

    You won't get accounting numbers any more, of course....
