Installation Problem

Hey can somebody help me

The installation halts at step 8 after i put in the lilo passwd,
I have a AMD K6 CPU 128 mem, 4 GB HD and 2 realtech NIC card
Does somebody have any idea what could be the problem.

did you pull out all your network cables???
maybe ... that is the sollution

I used a "$" in my password for lilo.
Without this it works fine now.

I've used the password test but that doens't seem te work either.
I don't know anymore .

Does anybody have ANY idea.?????

Problem solved.
Astaro is installed.
don't use the same passwords for everything
and It seems difficult for astaro to give the boot flag on the correct partition.

I use the same pw for all and there are no probs ! ;-)

Me too,same passwd is not the reason.But it is not recommend.
