Error During Install

I am getting the following Error:

Mounting proc ... ok
searching for scsi cd drive(s) ... 0 found
searching for ide cd drive(s) ... 1 found
hdc: timeout waiting for DMA
ide_dmaproc: chipset supported ide_dma_timeout func only: 14

System Hardware:
Aopen AP5T Motherboard
Pentium 200 MMX
128Mb Mem
Memorex 48X CD-ROM
Intel 10/100 Pro

This is meant only as a test box.
So far the software evaluation doesn't look good.  Please Help.

    I have changed the CD-ROM to an Acer 32X.  Different Error:

    Searching for ide cd drive(s) ... 1 found
    ide_dmaproc: chipset supported ide_dma_lostirq func only: 13
    hdc: lost interrupt

    Could this be a problem with the IDE Controller on the motherboard.

    hi, i had the same prob with the onboard ide controler on my gigabyte board (GA-5AX)(ali chipset). I tried different bios-udates but this does not solve the prob.

    Then I changed to scsi an then it works ! ;-)

    How can rezolve my problem too?
    My cdrom it's ok, cuksum - ok, my cd is burn with nero at 1x...
    Whats wrong?
