network card not found

Hi,
i've downloaded Astaro Security Linux Version 2.0, and tried to install it, but i can't finish thje installation, since i get the message "no network cards found"
I have 3 D-link cards (DFE-530TX) in my system...is this a problem of compatibility ?

If anyone has the answer, pleasee, help me

Hi Mike,

I am in the same boat as you. I have 4 d-link DFE-538TX/R 10/100 nics which use 8139too as their driver. unfortunately, they do not auto-detect properly. they do however, work fine if you manually install them afterwards, but this is currently a seemingly impossible task as you are only left with the choice of rebooting the machine. There are probably others out there like us that would like to know what steps we can take to avoid having to purchase more network cards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

please post the PCI ID of your card:

answer "bash please" instead of first "yes" and issue

cat /proc/pci/devices | awk '{print $2}'
