2.0 Installation

Hi, I'm evaluation asl2.0, after reading throught the docs, I'm really impressed by the potential.. The problem is that the installation crashes (PII-400, Asus MB, 256MB PC100 DIMM, 2x 3c905c-TX, 1x  Adaptec 2940U2W, 1x 18GB Atlas IV SCSI 2UW at ID-1).  I boot off the CD, I get the Info screen, the keyb select screen.. once the keyb is selected and [enter] is pressed, I get thrown down to a shell type window (actual message says "You are now in (b)ash shell. Enter "Exit" to continue installation." Exit just stalls there.

Top of screen is filled with /hda seek errors.

    I am having the a simular error, except when the install hangs at the type "exit" prompt I get no errors.  The cd just stops spinning after about one minute.  As per anothers email, I installed the package using another keyboard.  In order to get the "@" key, simply use the alt key + the corisponding ascii code...I think I used the denmark keyboard with the code of 040...(I cant remember because I was trying all sorts of stuff)

    Hi all,
    for those that have a problems to install ASL try to update the BIOS of motherboard and take a look on older topic where this behaviour about
    asl install disc is explaned (keyb issue etc...);
    elliotf go on docs.astaro.org and download the 
    complete ASL manual(is very useful to start and understand the principal things),so you can see
    that you cannot ping from inside to ext without
    starting ICMP on fw etc.etc....
