Cable question: Router -> ASL -> Hub -> Network

Hi!

Possibly a simple problem, but I need a hint. We have a Cisco router connecting us via ISDN to the internet. Behind this router is a hub, where all PC's are connected to. Now we want to insert a firewall and VPN-server on ASL-basis. It seems clear, that the only position for the ASL-box ist between the router and the hub. So I connect the router uplink-cable to eth0. But how to connect the ASL-box with the router? Do I need a second hub like shown in the documentation or can I use a cross-linked network cable, which is normally used to connect to PC's via ethernet without a hub?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Marek
