Further NIC Installation

I´m using Version 1.940-Beta with two configured Realtek NIC´s.
I want to add a third NIC for DMZ.
How can i do this?

Is it possible detect this new NIC via "root" server console or is a new installation needed?
If so (first way) could you please tell me the commands on the server console.
I`m a newbie on LINUX.

    Hi,

    probably the easiest way to integrate new NIC for you is to reinstall the ASL. And configuration backup would make the re-configuration easier  [;)]

    I'm using 1.951 and I managed to add a new NIC card for my DMZ without reinstalling the whole server. here what I have done:

    1. installed a new NIC (it's a 3COM identical to the other 2 I had already in there)

    2. modified the file /etc/modules.conf so there's a new line that reads: alias eth2 3c59x

    3. added a new line in file /etc/wfe/conf/netzkartendata like this: eth2#DMZ#10.0.0.1#255.255.255.0

    I think there's something monitoring changes in this config files, because as soon as I saved it ifconfig confirmed that I have even an eth2 and I can finish configuring it in the webadmin interface. hope this can help.
