up2date

I can't find anything that says whether you're supposed to reboot after running up2date.

I just up2dated from 1.9 to 1.917, but now it won't d/l the rest of the updates.
I can still get on the web from inside though.

I'll try rebooting.

  • OK, now I'm really confused.

    I've rebooted, and I still can't connect up2date.

BUT, I CAN do a tcp connect to the up2date server on that port, and I see the SSH greeting.

Is there some reason it doesn't want to update me now? I'm now at 1.917.

    Thanks,
    Barry
  • OK, I have new mail.

Is that file supposed to be on my ASL, or on the up2date server?

    Thank you,
    Barry
  • Up2Date still won't let me update past 1.917.

    Please help.

    Thank you,
    Barry
  • Up2Date will reboot if you want it to or not after an update that needs a reboot. That is the reason that I have not enabled automatic updates on my firewall
