Problem with (3) D-Link DFE-530TX+

I'm trying to install ASL 1.8.x using (3) D-Link 530TX+ NICs without any luck, using two works fine. During install, all three cards are properly recognized and identified. I am thinking that it is possibly a bus mastering problem. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?

The box has an AP-686 VF motherboard. The only info I could find on this is at the URL below, but they don't have anything about bus mastering issues.

    Hi Steve,

    Out of interest - what is the exact problem you get?  Does ASL boot?  Does it hang the machine or simply not function?

    I just installed a box here with multiple D-Link 550TX cards and am having serious problems.  It seems to me that large packets of data (when I say large, I mean normal sized packets but not tiny packets) either get filtered or dropped completely.  As an example, I connect a telnet session to a server on the internet - I can quite happily talk to the machine until a 'large' packet (approx 4k) is sent or received and then the connection gets dropped.  To replay this event I simply copy a large chunk of data into the clipboard and paste it into the telnet session.  After a second or so it drops the connection.  This happens regardless of port number and clearly is unworkable for me - ie. I can't send or receive email which is larger than 4k !  Small packets get sent/received no problem.

    I disabled all filtering rules (using iptables from a shell prompt) and still get the same effect.

    Has anyone else seen/heard of this issue?
    I'm guessing it's the NIC's that are problematic and so I'm waiting on two new Intel NIC's to arrive this afternoon.
