Up2Date 1.821 too large

Hi folks,
my ASL box just went down during update to 1.821. No space left on device /var/recovery.

After restart I found a file in /var/recovery/incoming 1.821.tar with 73510912 bytes. ASL had partitioned this device only with 93328 1k-Blocks.

Any ideas?

    very strange...
    Thats what i see on my test firewall: -rw-r--r--   1 root     root      8366080 Jul  6 16:55 1.821.tar

    Please can you post a ls -l /var/recovery/incoming?

    The file in the incoming directory is the right size. The strange thing is that the file downloaded VERY much too fast for the second half of the file.  7 mBytes downloaded in about 3 minutes over the phone...
