kernel panic

Try to install ASL 1.8.0 from CD to ISP1100 Intel server platform (440BX, EIDE WD100BB 10Gb)

I got this message:

EXT2-fs: unable to read superblock
isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=03:03, iso_blknum=16, block=32
kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 03:03

 [:(]

This CD installs fine at other computer.
I install ASL at other HDD (Quantum 6.4G) and succesfully boots from it at ISP1100.
But trouble still annoy me.  [:(]

    I do not know how much I can help... But let me repeat it back....

    1.8 CD works in another computer OK
    1.9 CD works in this computer OK

    Therefore the CD-ROM and DRIVE are both probably OK. Although I would check them anyway.

    Checking up on my system I find that device 03:03 is /dev/hda3; or the log partition on the HDD. 

    You did not say if this was during install or after the reboot when you remove the CD-ROM. My guess is that it was during install. 

    I would attempt to install 1.8 onto this HDD in another machine, to work out if it is the HDD or the computer....
