9.214 and 9.215?

I'm about to try and update my 9.2 to the 9.3 branch. I want to get an 9.2 ISO to restore in case the update has issues.

I went to https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/downloads/utm/utm-downloads.aspx and the only 9.2 ISO is at 9.214 but I'm at 9.213.

looking at http://download.astaro.com/UTM/v9/up2date/ It shows a 9.214 and 9.215 update released in November. These updates have not shown up on my UTM (I have 16 other updates) and I cant find any release notes for them.

Does anyone have the release notes for these updates?

Hi,

The up2date package you need would be: download.astaro.com/.../u2d-sys-9.213004-214001.tgz.gpg

After downloading it, you can upload it to the UTM at Management > Up2Date > Advanced, then Up2Date file and locate the up2date file that was downloaded.

This should allow you to update from 9.213-4 to 9.214-1, then you will be able to update as normal from there.

9.214 had only one bug fix in the release notes
35502 CVE-2015-5477: An error in handling TKEY queries can cause named to exit with a REQUIRE assertion failure [9.2]

Right, some releases include a smaller amount of bugfixes, depending on if they are critical patches that should be released sooner or maintenance patches.

In this particular case, 9.214 was designated as a critical patch for CVE-2015-5477 affecting BIND as per the Internet Systems Consortium.
