Problem adding NIC

Hi,

I've added a third NIC to my installation.  Its supposed to be a D-Link DGE-530T which I bought specifically because there is already one installed and working, however, the new NIC is being identified as a "D-Link System Inc Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" which sounds as if it's a perhaps generic driver for the DGE-530T.  In any case, it's not working.

Is there a way to change the NIC type without reinstalling ?

I have had a poke about using the shell, but I am not _that_ familiar with Linux, and I cannot find where the NIC (eth2) is defined.

I have read a few of the posts ion the forum, but they seem to be mostly about an older version of Linux, so I suspect they are obsolete.

Any pointers greatly appreciated .....
