Konzept Standortvernetzung - RED 50 oder SG105 mit Network Subscription

Hallo,

 

ich plane gerade unsere Standortvernetzung neu. Aktuell betreiben wir ein Mesh-VPN weil wir keine Zentrale Firewall betreiben.

 

Der Plan jetzt sieht so aus, eine zentrale Firewall zu haben, die an einer 1GB symetrischer Fiberleitung hängt.

Über diese Firewall soll der Traffic laufen, vorallem wegen des Webfilters.

 

Jetzt habe ich 5 Standorte mit VDSL50, die über mehrere VLANs verfügen.

Ziel ist, dass jeder Standort sein eigenes Subnetz hat und ich bei Bedarf pro Standort weitere Subnetze hinzufügen kann. Außerdem soll der DHCP immer lokal laufen.

 

Im Fall der Fälle soll außerdem jeder Standort bei Ausfall der Central Firewall weiter ins Internet können.

 

Jetzt die große Frage, was ist aus eurer Erfahrung besser, eine RED50 an jedem Standort, oder eben eine SG105 mit der Network Subscription, gerade im Bezug auf die VLANs und den Internetkontakt bei Ausfall der Hauptfirewall.

    A RED 50 with Warranty Extensions is more expensive than an SG 115 with Network Protection Subscriptions.  The SG 105 solution is even less expensive, but I would choose the 115 because it has 4GB of RAM.

    The SGs are so much more flexible than the RED.  Especially with the 115s, you could purchase a one-month Web Protection subscription for each site and hold them in reserve in case of a prolonged outage in the central site.  With SGs, it's possible to create a mesh fail over if the central site is down - see Sophos UTM multiple S2S IPsec VPN mit Failover – Tutorial (DE).
