web proxy basic authentication

Hallo zusammen,

habe heute versucht unter:

Web Protection >  Web Filtering > Global 

Default Authentication : Basic User Authentication gesetzt und gespeichert.

(Operation Mode ist Standard)

Ich hätte jetzt wenn ich mich mit dem Browser surfen will erwartet das eine User / Passwort abfrage kommt, die aber eben nicht kommt.

Habe ich etwas übersehen ?

    Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

    Make sure the users are pointing their browsers to the UTM as HTTP Proxy.

    Also, the supported methods for Basic User Authentication are:

    • Novell's eDirectory
    • Microsoft's Active Directory
    • RADIUS
    • TACACS+
    • LDAP

    IF you choose Browser as the authentication method, does the Captive Portal shows?
