Backup SG135R1 R3

Hallo Zusammen,

Wir haben ein HA Cluster aus zwei SG135 Revision 1.

Eine davon ist jetzt kaputt.

Ich habe gelesen dass die Kombination R1 mit R3 nicht HA geeignet ist. Wir können keine R1 auftreiben.

Wenn wir uns jetzt zwei neue R3 anschaffen, wie würdet ihr vorgehen die beiden als HA ohne Downtime in Betrieb zu nehmen?

Kann ein Backup der R1 in eine R3 bei gleichem Firmwarestand eingespielt werden?

Dann würde ich die R3 standalone auf den Firmwarestand der funktionierenden R1 bringen, ein Backup der R1 einspielen, kurze Downtime, R1 gegen R3 austauschen, hochfahren und zweite R3 als HA einbinden.

    (Sorry, my German-speaking brain isn't creating thoughts at the moment. [:(])

    Backups can be restored to any computer with an equal or larger number of Ethernet ports.  The only thing that changes is the licensing - if you restore a 135 backup to an HP server, you will need to upload a software license.  In your case, there is no difference in the license needed for an R1 and an R3.

    In North America, any SG 135 with a paid subscription is under warranty and dead units are replaced for free by Sophos.  Given the known problems with the 125 & 135 R1 devices, I'm almost certain that Sophos Deutschland would replace your dead device.  What does Sophos Support say?
