Bestätigten Spam

Hallo,

ich habe mal eine Verständnisfrage zum Antispamfilter einer UTM.

Ist der Unterschied von "Bestätigter Spam" bei der SMTP-Übermittlung und "Empfohlene RBLs" verwenden nur der Zeitpunkt der Prüfung?

Ich gehe davon aus, dass beide "Verfahren" die gleichen RBLs befragen und damit eine E-Mail als SPAM identifizieren, oder liege ich da falsch?

  • RBLs will block traffic based on Source IP or sender domain.    Suspected/Confirmed spam evaluates traffic based on content.    Some RBLs also evaluate web links, but i do not know if UTM implements that type of checking.    RBL filtering is done with DNS lookups, and is very efficient, so it is definitely useful as the first step in the filtering process.  We use barracuda, spamcop, and zenhaus.
