UTM 9 User Portal - undefined text / japefile.dat download

Hi,

I'm having some strange issues with the UTM 9 user portal right now, and I've not found any hints via google, so I thought i'd ask here.

First problem, users open the user-portal and see the word 'undefined' where the welcome text normally is.  When they click on the 'remote access' link the text remains and there are no download buttons

Second problem, sometimes when they try to download the install files from the remote-access link, it downloads a zero byte file named 'japefile.dat'.  Clicking on any of the download links gives the same file.

In both cases, a refresh of the page / re-log in seems to resolve it, but it is a bit annoying.  They are using IE11 (company policy, unfortunately), with latest java version installed.

Has anyone seen this before of have any ideas?

Best regards

Paul

  • Further info:  We have several UTM's behind an AWS network load balancer (NLB).  Could it be that when they login they are authenticated to UTM #1, but when the client clicks download, the connection is being made to UTM #2 for example?  One that they are not authenticated to?

    Paul.

  • That sounds reasonable to me, Paul.  Have you discussed your topology with your reseller or a Sophos consultant?

    Cheers - Bob
