Configuring UTM9.5

Hi my self kareem

I need to set up the UTM 9.5 latest in home network. My connection details as follows please help to configure

 

1)Media Convertor---> Router Wan Port (has static IP)----->

2)Router Lan port----> Switch...

 

IP Details -----> Router Local Network 192.168.1.1 starting

 

How to configure utm 9.5 home in this as firewall already install utm firewall in a machine

  • Hi Abdul and welcome to the UTM Community!

    Doug's right that configuring the UTM is not for the faint of heart!

    That said, the setup wizard should get you going.  Just follow the installation instructions.  The ideal situation would be to replace your existing router with the UTM so that the UTM can have a public IP on its External interface.  If your router is also your WiFi, connect it to the UTM via one of its LAN ports and leave the WAN port unused.  Eventually, you will want to disable DHCP in the old router and have the UTM perform that function.

    You may decide to avoid those efforts as Doug suggests.

    In general, this community doesn't offer A-to-Z help, just help with specific questions.  When you run into a snag, ask a question here in the relevant forum.
