Sophos UTM 9 : Renew License via SSH

Hello,

 

Kindly need help.

We unable to access Webadmin Sophos UTM 9(Internal Server Error). This is happened when the Sophos trial license has Expired. 

Also we unable to access the Sophos via Putty (SSH). The only way we can access is through Hyper-V Manager which we direct connect to Sophos VM console.

Now we already get the new license. I was thinking to renew the license using Command.

 

Any idea how are we going to do this?.

 

Please help me.

  • Hi, and welcome to the UTM Community!

    Have you tried a reboot?  If not, first try restarting WebAdmin: /etc/rc.d/httpd restart

    I've already tried restart the service.

    but still i cannot access the webadmin.

     

    Any other way to solve this?

  • It sounds like the problem is something that might require creating a new VM and restoring from backup.  Backups are stored in /var/confd/var/storage/snapshots/ if you don't have a backup off your current machine.  Good luck!

  • Okay. nevermind bob.

     

    already solved the issue.

    We just need to remove the  file in directory "/var/up2date/sys/".

     

    Command : cd /var/up2date/sys/

    command: rm *u2d-sys*

    Then try open the webdmin console again.

    Then update the firmware from webadmin

    or using command : auisys.plx

     

    Anyone that have the same issue with the webadmin "500 internal server error".
