After update to 9.502-4 occupied space on data partition goes up to 79%

Hi all,

After update to 9.502-4, occupied disk space on a data disk does up to 79%. Is there any method to free up the space?

Thanks,

Greg

After restart situation is the same?

Yes, I just did a rm -rf * in /var/storage/cores to remove the core dumps. Now I have more space again. But It's still filling up again. There are several issues related to this if I look on the forum.
I hope Sophos fixes this soon.

  • the fix is online and working on several sites... also at my site...

so you have to log in via ssh and then delete all at /var/storage/cores again.

also update your pattern files and enable application control again if you have disabled it...

with a new pattern there will be an update for application control which should fix the coredumps...

  • So, after all this procedure, occupied disk space goes to previous state?

  • Thanks
Done that so I hope it's fixed now.

     Yes, It should.

  • After trying to update patterns I've got the information that the new version is available, but it's not being downloaded. Any clues?

  • You can do it from the web interface if you want. Just switch pattern updates to manual and click the button.
Make sure you switch back to automatic afterwards to get the latest updates.
