Hi,
I have had a home license Sophos UTM for years (since it was Astaro). For a long time now I have had a Linksys wi-fi router (turned into a simple access point) serving my wireless services. However that Linksys router is old and no longer supports our family's needs so I need to upgrade.
I WOULD upgrade to a couple of Sophos AP55c units, but they are WAY too expensive (over $600 for two). They are crazy expensive (for home use) especially when compared to other current mesh wireless offerings like Amplifi and Linksys. I could purchase 3 APs in these two brands for about $300 or so; much better pricing.
My question is, does anyone know how I could setup and use something like Ubiquiti Amplifi with my Sophos UTM? I know I could easily do it by turning the Amplifi into a simple AP, but then I wouldn't be able to utilize its 'guest' network features. I assume that there is no way to configure the Amplifi VLANs to support features like the 'guest' network or other SSIDs with the Sophos UTM?
Any ideas? I have Googled it multiple times but haven't seen anything. It seems like I would have to setup these mesh wi-fi devices straight to my ISP modem?
Thanks,
Matt
