Problem with the licences of my Sohpos UTM 9 home

Hello,

since two days I have a problem with the licences of my Sohpos UTM 9 home.
Suddenly I got the message that I would have much more IPs in use than my license would allow. I've looked up, and actually 266 active IP addresses are displayed. But I'm also using only 30 devices with IP addresses.

I didn't change something the day before, and I didn't have that much devices in my network temporarely.

In arp table there are 35 entries, from which 5 are incomplete.

Little help would be very nice :-).

Best regards

Michael

  • I have not used that tool specifically, but yes, scanners in general can cause issues with the licensing for the UTM.  Make sure you are only scanning hosts on the local network, and exclude the mac/IP of the UTM from the scanner.  That may still not help, depending on the discovery method of the scanner, but trial and error is all you can really do.  I hate the way the UTM scoops up everything it can like that, but it is what it is.
