Encryption for HTML5 VPN - Remote Desktop

Hello forum,

what is the encryption protocol behind the connection type "remote desktop" and "VNC"?

If i understand it right, behind "remote desktop" should be the encryption RC4 (from RDP) but thisn't good.

It would be nice, i someone know the answer or some dokuments.

(Remote Access -> HTML5 VPN Portal -> Button: "New HTML5 VPN Portal Connection" -> Option: "Connection type")

I will have to get the information from the developers but please provide me more details about why is that information required and how helpful will that be?

I need this information for my student research project.

My task is to evaluate html5 vpn portals from different vendors. One part inside this topic is to check a encryption options.

If I dont find any information about this, i can't take a closer look in too the differences between the solutions.

This project is for a partner company of sophos.
