Domain Network Definition

All,

First of all, I'm new to this firewall so bare with me, but I've got many years of experience dealing with home and enterprise level firewalls, particularly Sidewinder (McAfee Enterprise/Forcepoint now) and I have a question.  Can I create a network definition for an entire domain?  For example, I want to create a rule that allows any IP which reverses to *.att.net to be allowed to use a rule.  I created a network definition (DNS host) for att.net (hoping that any IP which reverses to *.att.net) will be allowed to use the rule, and it did take it, however I'm wondering if the firewall will literally interpret it as a DNS hostname of att.net or if it's truly taking it as the entire *.att.net domain.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

  • Hi, Justin, and welcome to the UTM Community!

That's not possible at present.  You might want to go to the Ideas site where I know there's a suggestion for that - voting and commenting will both help that get the attention it deserves.
