How much does an SG430 cost with full guard for 2 years?

I'm wondering how much these things cost as I don't really get to see that. I've had a quote from a supplier quoting £37k for 2 years. Seems slightly excessive to me.

    Kinda absurd quote if you ask me. I get for SG430 quote (without discounts) 20KEuros SG430+full guard for 3 years. and 26K EUR for SG430+full guard plus. (still dont understand difference between full guard and full guard plus and which one includes sandstorm or is that yet another purchase).

    Anyway your quote seems very high (Sure there is not a redundant one included or some other maintenance product or they made a mistake in model ?) anbd it sin euros so should be vene lower in GBP

  • Full Guard Plus includes Sandstorm, Full Guard doesn't.

    20k € seems a realistic price rather than 37k £. Are there any Accesspoints or Reds, maybe Client Protection or VPN Client licenses involved? Premium Support?

    Or is that maybe a price with implementation, configuration, ...?

  • I'm asking for clarification on it. There ain't no vpns, reds etc but a full guard plus license. So I have to see what they are including in there.

    What is the difference between premium and standard support?

  • In my opinion there are two points where standard and premium differs.

    First hardware support is advance exchange in premium, return and replace in standard.

    Second one is how the support is given, with premium, end-user can directly contact Sophos Support, standard is to contact the reseller and then (depends on their partner level) they can contact Sophos directly (gold & platinum) or have to contact their distributor (bronze & silver). It's all a matter of time and how critical the device is for keeping the business running.

    In the USA, it's advance exchange for both.  Are you certain it's not in Europe, Kevin?  Unless there's some special deal I can get for a customer, I always sell Standard.  I acknowledge that things work differently on your side of the pond, and that there can be good reasons for getting Premium even here.

    I only had one hardware issue during my 'Sophos Time' till now, around 40 hardware boxes, 2 years... good average. And yes at that time it was a send in and return case with a Standard Support. We gladly had one 120 that was replaced earlier we gave the current config backup in the meantime, customer was in the same city we are, so no big problem. Replacement arrived after 3-4 days from Sophos UK, quite slow... I hadn't contact to our distributor, went directly to Sophos.
