Wasn't sure to stick this so mods please move if need be. Since recently standing up an active passive UTM 9 system at home, I have been going through the requisite wringing of hands trying to increase VPN throughput.
I operate primarily on Macs and didn't want to have to homebrew iperf or mess with old java for jperf tools, so I needed an easy and preferably GUI alternative for testing. I then ran across this gem...

It is free GUI multiplatform Windows / OSX / ios / Android, painless to install, and works wonderfully. You run server on one point and client on another, with tool on your phone you can pop on and off your vpn while doing testing and also use for lan / wifi testing as well.
I've got my VPN uploads to full bandwidth but still haven't tackled the horrendous download speeds yet, but having this tool makes it so much easier to tune.
