Block all access using IP address

Hi

New user here coming from pfsense

So far i have managed to get this pretty much as i need it as i had major issues with pfsense and the Xbox One

But i have a need to set a block up for some IP's at certain times , not just web access but for any traffic at all (ie a PS4 and a Xbox one )

It's so i can block access for one or more of my kids devices at any time

they both run from the same switch upstairs so i cant just unplug a connection, i need to be able to turn on and off blocking via their ip addresses.

I have searched for 2 days and tried various things but sadly cant sem to work it out, could someone give me a few pointers on how to do this.

if it helps its a pretty standard setup and im using transparent mode on the proxy

Thanks

  • Hi, Dean, and welcome to the UTM Community!

Check the Web Filtering log file to see if the accesses you want to block are in there.

In 'Firewall' make the first two rules like '{kid#1 IP} -> Any -> Internet : Allow and log'.  After a day, you will see which services/destinations you need to control.

When you have a clearer picture of the problem, come back and inform us.
