Sophos UTM 9 9.411-3 data disk almost 100%

Hi everyone,

I have installed a licensed Sophos UTM 9 on Hyper-V. The VHDX is 40GB.

This has been running well for a few months but recently I've been getting mails that the datadisk is filling up.

When I logon to the webinterface of the Sophos, the datadisk seems the be only 12GB. It's now at 96%.

Why is this filling up so quickly? What can I do to stop the datadisk from completely filling up?

I've seen other posts suggesting to connect with SSH and delete stuff in some folders in Linux but I  have no idea how to do that

  • If you have paid support contact them. I have had this issue a few times. Usually a machine on our network is trying to call home and getting blocked by the web filter. What happened was each request would get blocked and the UTM would cache the certificate. We dealt with the problem workstation and deleted the cached certificates.

You will want to get on top of this as well. My understanding is when the data disk fills to 100% the UTM will cease to function.
