Add different DNS forwarders for another interface

Hi, Can you assign different DNS forwarders for another interface? I have two interfaces:

  1. Internal (Parents Interface)
  2. Kids

I have a web filter profile assigned to the kids interface, but would also like to utilise opendns for further protection on their interface. Can I assign the opendns dns entries just to the kids interface? If so, can somebody please tell me how?

Thanks

  • Hi,

in my opinion it's not possible because WebProtection uses the DNS forwarders of the UTM, and you are not able to add different forwarders based on interfaces or subnets.

You can use DHCP to distribute different DNS settings for the clients, but DNS querys for HTTP requests will be solved by the UTM as long as WebProtection is enabled.
