Log File Selfmonitor I check failed on restart

I had to do a reinstall of the UTM software because the VPN and the User Portal where not working on the external WAN port.  It fixed that issue, but now when I restart the UTM I get the following errors:  It only shows on restart.  The services that are listed are up and running like normal.  Any idea if there is anything wrong or how to fix it?

Thanks

  • Well, the selfmon should check at least 3 times as far as I can recall.

So if this only happens during restart and the services are not up, I would believe it's safe to ignore.

If checks keep on failing after services is up, it should be taken serious.

  • Hi, Robert, and welcome to the UTM Community!

Sometimes, the UTM logs are just "chatty" - probably information the developer wanted to see, and for which the "debug" switch was not turned off.  This is, as Poul said, nothing to worry about - I see the same thing on the restart of our UTM on 2/27.

    Cheers - Bob
