Hi all,

I would like to know if it's possible to export an asg320 configuration file and import it into a sgg330 ?

Many thanks for your help

  • yes, you can import the configuration to another device-type.

note: license is device-type specific. After importing the config you have to import a new matching license.

if there is licensed time remaining with the old device, you should be able to upgrade device-type within my-utm.

In addition to Dirk's comment, you must make sure the new SG has the same or newer version of the software as the old ASG.  I usually have to guide my clients through an initial Up2Date process.  Just do a temporary setup, giving the new SG an unused internal IP on its External interface and then connect it to allow it to download the needed Up2Dates.  After applying the necessary Up2Dates, just follow Dirk's suggestions.

The easiest way to restore the backup to the new SG is to put it in the root directory of a USB memory stick and then boot the SG with the USB stick in place.

    Cheers - Bob
