High HDD activity creates slow downs / disconnect of VPN and Proxy

We had a major power failure of the building and we had to shutdown the data center for the repairs.  Since the restart of the data center, the SG300 has been plagued with intermittent disconnect of the proxy and remote clients on VPN. If I look at the SG330, the HDD activity light is solid while those disconnect happens. A constant ping to the device will not drop one packet.  I turned off the proxy caching and that fixed the proxy disconnect but not the VPN disconnects.  I know hard drives in a production environment, when they are shutdown for a long period, sometime développes problems. But this SG330 was put in service in October 2016.  I have monitored various logs without pinpointing anything suspicious.

Anyone have an idea where to look for to help troubleshoot this problem?

I apologize for the English as it is not my native tongue.

Thanks

  • Salut, Luc, and welcome to the UTM Community! (Ton anglais écrit est parfait.)

You definitely need to get Sophos Support involved.  I wouldn't be surprised if they asked you to get several configuration backups, including some from before the crash, and then ask you to re-image from ISO.  They will want to look at it first.

Please insert pictures of Network Usage and Hardware graphs, indicating where the problems occur.

    Cheers - Bob
