DLNA already opened

Hello to you all,

I have built my own network (jeej). I have set up a DLNA server, and I can succesfully watch content on my smart tv. But the weird thing is that I did not need to open any ports to be able to do that.

Can anyone of you think of a clarification for that? I tried some other service (for instance, FTP), and that is blocked (like I want it to be). Or is traffic within the same subnet opened up by default?

Yours sincerely,

Bram
