Allowing a temporary guest through the firewall

My brother is coming over for Christmas Eve and is bringing his computer, how do I allow his computer through the firewall even though he has a different IP than what's in my IP range that's allowed through the firewall? If so can I give him the same rules as the rest of my devices?

  • Most computers are set up for dynamically getting an IP-address from the network they are connected to. In that case his computer will automatically get a correct IP-address for your environment (giving that you do have DHCP configured).

Then when he gets back home, his own environment will again make sure he gets the correct IP again there.
