RED 10 unlock code

Hello,

 

I bought an used RED 10 from eBay. To get the unlock code for the device I followed instructions mentioned in this thread https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/f/remote-ethernet-device-red/78094/ebay-red-10-unlock-code .

 

Now I got respond from the support, it is impossible to get an unlock code for a used RED when using home license. Additionally, it is not a good idea to buy an used device because only devices from an authorised reseller are supported. 

 

Is it possible to get the unlock code or do I have to change from sophos?

  • Perhaps the reseller from ebay can also give you the current unlock code. It will automatically change to a new unlock code once you connect it to another UTM.
