AWS Config Generation

Has anyone had an issue with AWS generating the VPN Config File ?, I no longer see it as an option the on the vendor list, and the only option looks like it has to be generic and done manually. I wanted just to have a file generated, so I don't have to input all the configs manually. Anyone else sees this issue? According to the docs, there should be a Sophos dropdown. Since the AWS Key and Secret Pass does not work this seems to be the only option.

  • This is the first I've seen your response Domnick - too many holiday parties and then a week down with a bug caught from some other party goer, I suspect.  Hey, I'm glad to be alive again today!

If you have a paid license, I would open a ticket with Sophos Support.

  • I have support, but I never use it because there almost worthless on the phone or via email. I will just setup a UTM on the AWS side and do a UTM to UTM. It just would have been nice to use the preconfigured download file from Amazon and have it connect to their VPC directly.  If the XG works better, I might go that route and buy a whole new set of appliances. Can anyone confirm the XG works with the VPC without any hassle?

  • XG should run on your existing appliances, but it sounded to me that you were having difficulty getting the right parameters from AWS, and I thought that Sophos was involved in that process.  Don't hestitate to request that your cases be escalated.
