Hello we are a school. Lately I've been having a hard time getting our UTM to enforce safe search.
1. Chrome on PC's. Chrome recently switched to using QUIC protocol for searching and using their applications. The UTM does not support QUIC filtering, therefore safe search no longer works. I've called support, and got the work around to disable UDP 80 and UDP 443 on our firewall rules. This prevents the QUIC protocol, but also slows down our Chromebooks and disables Voice Typing (the kids use it to type for them) on the Chromebooks.
I am currently removing chrome from all our equipment here. I can enforce safe search through our google apps for education policies for Chromebooks.
Will the UTM support QUIC in the future? How long before it's available?
2. Safe search doesn't work on Ipads using the built in safari browser, any tips on getting them to work from the UTM? I'm not sure if this is a recent thing or has been like this for a while.
Any advice?
