I have been using the free version of UTM9 for several years to protect my home network. It has been running on an older Supermicro server quite well. I buy and sell networking equipment and decided to build a new UTM with a Dell PowerEdge 860, this time using a pair of HDs in RAID 1, just because I can and everything I do is built that way. The existing Supermicro UTM is completely up to date in firmware and patterns. I made backups and stored them on a networked machine. The new Dell UTM was brought up to date and I installed the backup from the Supermicro. Everything works as before except SENDING emails. I can receive just fine. In the UTM I am NOT using email protection and have a firewall rule to allow all email protocols. Everything same-same as before. While typing this I received a welcome email from Sophos. Any pointers would be appreciated! chuckindetroit
