Migration tool to export SG-UTM9 config to XG?

Good day, I understood that there would be some assistance in exporting a existing SG configuration to be restored on the new XG platform.

Have a number of clients (including self) that have some complex configurations and I would like to implement the XG software on them - but not to reinvent the wheel so to speak.

Our old rep Steve C said that a tool would be available Q3 of this year but thus far I haven't found any information about this.

Any suggestions would be helpful

The migration tool is under development and will be made available soon. No ETA as of now.

The migration tool is developed and going through the testing phase. We will definitely make a public announcement soon.

I already installed version 17 in a UTM 320 and I need to migrate all the configuration from UTM to XG. Is there any tool that does that and does not have to do it manually?

I have a spare I have installed XG on and there are no proven good methods, so I will consider this a new device and proceed as if implementing XG as such. Is the UTM 330 holding up on XG?

The Migration Assistant is currently reachable as a Sophos Partner. Feel free to reach out to your Reseller / partner to get the current version of the Migration Assistant.

Most likely it will migrate your config, which can be migrated (Objects etc.).

SG and XG uses the same hardware.

You can follow this KBA to get this SG Appliance migrated to a XG. https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/124588

It will basically reinstall everything.

Afterwards you can think about the migration of the config.

PS: https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/134102 This is the KBA for a SG HA, in case you have 2x SGs.
