Hi,
We have a wireless solution which we've taken over (did not install ourselves), and we're noticing poor speeds off most APs. All APs are AP55C and there are 9 APs in total.
It's got 9.407-3 firmware installed.
All switches are HP 1920G switches. Switch 1 connects to the Sophos controller via a link aggregation group utilising 4 ethernet links. Switch 1 also has a fiber link to Switch 2,3 and 4. Switch 1,2,3 and 4 have at least 1 AP connected to them.
The MTU on the SSID in question is set to 1500.
Now to the problem, what we're seeing is that most APs are only allowing a total of around 100Mbps. I tried copying a file from the server to my macbook pro, and I got about 9MBps as a peak. If two computers are side by side and we try to copy files locally, each of us run at around 3-4MBps. I also notice that if I'm pinging some of the APs whilst copying these files, I get a time out every 30 or so seconds.
Is this normal? is there anything we can do?
Thanks for reading
