Reset the network adapters without web admin access

I have been running 9.3 happily in a VM on ESXi. I'm now in the process of moving everything to a new server. I set up the virtual network adapters, copied over my UTM VM, and fired it up. For some freak reason, I actually logged in the the UTM's Web Admin interface for a short while, but have been unable to since. I'm guessing there's a problem with the network adapter config being different, although I get an IP address when I configure DHCP instead of a static IP. How can I do that without being able to log into the Web Admin?

On a likely related topic, I don't know the root or loginuser passwords. I followed the steps here: http://www.mxwiki.com/password/sophos/sophos-utm-password-recovery-procedure.html

However, I was still unable to log in, saying the password is wrong. I still have access to the original UTM, which is still running, but reluctant to make any changes to it.

Thanks!
