Search log simple question

Hi guys I'm new to Sophos. Can someone please tell me how can I determine if Search Log Files new opening windows has done its job? I can only see window without entries. So i don't know if search is done and there are no entries or is it still searching.

    I think  this is what he is asking, It frustrates me as well.

    QUESTION

    There are no progress bars in the search windows to indicate the search is complete. 

    When you use the search feature inside of the UTM, a new window will pop up, this window will stay blank and populate results as results are found. If no results are ever found the window will stay blank. Because of this the user has no way of knowing if the UTM is still processing the query, or has just found no results.

    ANSWER

    No, there is no indication that the search is complete.

    Normally it will start populating very quickly for small searches, like of today's activity. But If you are searching large data sets, like web filtering logs, over long periods of time, it could take some time.

    WORK AROUND

    I suggest using the Linux search tools in the command line. More control over the searches and once its done it will return the command prompt.
